Each pack can be heated in the microwave for hot therapy, or placed in the fridge or freezer for cold therapy. They must be used with a therapy cover/sleeve, compression cuff, dressing or other barrier to prevent burns or frostbite. The packs are long-lasting due to a burst and puncture resistant construction. Directions for how to use are written on the packaging for easy reference.
